Our Vision:

Heritage provides student-centered instruction in a warm, safe, and welcoming learning environment. Children feel comfortable and motivated because they have many opportunities to question, investigate, learn from their experiences, discuss their learning and celebrate their success!

"Teach a child to think, not what to think"

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING…

“When our daughter moved on from Heritage to middle school, she

was the only student in her class who could explain the meaning

of “metacognition” or “thinking about your thinking.” More than

the definition alone, Ally has really adopted thinking into her life.

We notice how she stops and thinks before making choices. We are

delighted with how Heritage is helping prepare our kids for middle

school and for life!” -Deb Barwick, Heritage Parent

It’s okay to say, “I don’t know.” In math, if I don’t know an answer I

say, “I don’t know.” But I don’t quit then. I use paper and pencil, or

I might use a calculator or a white board or a computer. I might ask

a teacher or a friend for help. I work at it until I feel like I can say,

“Now I get it!” -Chase Canon 3rd Grader
